Staff Responsibilities for Access / Equity and Equal Opportunity Issues

SSBT will meet the needs of individuals and the community through the integration of access and equity guidelines. We will ensure that equity principles for all are implemented through the fair allocation of resources and the right to equal opportunity without discrimination. SSBT actively supports the rights of everyone to participate in vocational education and training while prohibiting any form of discrimination inclusive of:

  • Ethnic or ethno-religious background

  • Homosexuality (male or female, actual or presumed)

We are firmly committed to achieving ‘best practice” in the provision of vocational education and training. The Managing Director is designated as the Access and Equity Officer, in the absence of The Principal Executive Officer.

The VET Coordinator is the person to whom you should direct all problems and information requests. He/She will refer the matter to the appropriate person. The VET Coordinator is also the SSBT Access and Equity Officer If you are experiencing any harassment or discrimination please refer the matter, in writing, to this person.
